About a week ago, I started walking up to complete strangers and asking them four simple questions.
And you know what happened?
I started having fun.
I mean, really having fun.
Because when you actually sit down and talk to people—not Democrats, not Republicans, not demographics, not algorithms—just people—you discover something pretty amazing:
We’re basically the same.
We want a safe place to live.
We want a roof over our heads.
We want decent jobs and affordable healthcare.
We want our kids and families to be safe.
We want a little opportunity, a little dignity, and some hope that tomorrow might be better than today.
That’s it.
Nobody has told me they wake up every morning wanting to hate the other half of America.
So maybe America isn’t nearly as divided as we’ve been told.
Maybe we’re just disconnected.
I’ve got ten conversations left.
And when they’re finished, I want to show you what I found.
Because if 100 strangers can find common ground, maybe 330 million Americans can too.
