Every time someone proposes fixing healthcare, rebuilding our infrastructure, or investing in education, the first question is always the same:

“Where’s the money going to come from?”

That’s the wrong question.

The better question is:

“Where’s the money going now?”

Right now, America spends more on healthcare than any nation on Earth. We spend trillions every year. Yet millions of Americans still struggle with deductibles, copays, surprise bills, and insurance denials.

As a Stage IV lung cancer survivor, I’ve lived it. I know how complicated the system can be. I also know how much money gets spent on paperwork instead of patients.

Imagine a simpler approach.

Now let’s look at corporate taxes.

The Fortune 500 earns roughly $2.1 trillion in annual profits. A simple 25% tax on those profits would generate about $525 billion under a straightforward model.

Not a tax code thousands of pages long.

Not loopholes.

Not special treatment.

One simple rule.

Then imagine pairing that with a healthcare system designed to eliminate waste, reduce administrative overhead, and negotiate better prices. Many experts believe those changes could save hundreds of billions of dollars across the healthcare system, although the exact amount depends on how it’s designed.

Now we’re talking about real money.

Not by asking Americans to sacrifice more.

By making the system work better.

That doesn’t mean every problem disappears overnight. Any serious reform has tradeoffs. Businesses, workers, taxpayers, hospitals, and states would all be affected, and those details matter.

But here’s the bigger idea:

Instead of arguing about who wins and who loses, let’s ask a different question.

Can we build a system that’s simpler, fairer, and more efficient?

That’s what the Truth Party is about.

Not slogans.

Not ideology.

Not left versus right.

Just looking at the numbers, telling the truth about the tradeoffs, and building a country that works better for everyone.

Because when we stop wasting money, we can start investing in America’s future.
