“Universal healthcare would probably cost the federal government about $5 trillion a year, but America already spends about $5.3 trillion a year on healthcare. The question is not whether we can afford healthcare. We already pay for it. The question is why we pay five trillion dollars and still have networks, deductibles, denials, bankruptcies, and people afraid to go to the doctor.”
