3 2 1…..

You know, I think I finally understand what Gene Cernan felt like sitting on top of a Saturn V rocket.

Gene lived next door to us when I was growing up in Nassau Bay. Back then, I just thought he was a guy with a cool haircut and a Corvette.

Now I’m 69 years old, and one month into launching the Truth Party, and suddenly I get it.

Not the astronaut part.

The part where you’re strapped into something that might explode at any moment.

A month ago, the Truth Party was just an idea.

Now I’ve got a website.

I’m writing blogs.

I’m making songs.

I’m making videos.

I’m posting on social media.

I’m doing stand-up comedy.

And now I’m going to be on a TV show about founders.

At 69!

Most guys my age are comparing lawn fertilizers.

I’m over here trying to start a political revolution.

My daily schedule is insane.

Wake up.

Write a blog.

Record a song.

Shoot a video.

Post on social media.

Argue with strangers online.

Accidentally start another project.

Repeat.

I don’t have a business plan anymore.

I have a hostage situation with my own imagination.

Every morning my brain wakes up and says, “John, what if we started a political party?”

And before coffee it’s saying, “Also a podcast, a documentary, and maybe a musical.”

A musical!

Nothing says “serious political movement” like jazz hands.

My family doesn’t even ask what I’m doing anymore.

They just check the internet.

“What’s Dad up to today?”

“Looks like he’s releasing an anthem, interviewing for television, and declaring war on lobbyists.”

“Okay. At least he’s staying busy.”

The funny thing is, when you’re young, people tell you that you can do anything.

Then life spends fifty years explaining why you can’t.

Then one day you hit 69 and realize…

Nobody can stop you because nobody’s paying attention anymore.

It’s incredibly liberating.

I have reached the age where people can’t tell if I’m having a breakthrough…

or a very well-organized breakdown.

And honestly?

Some days I can’t tell either.

But I’ll tell you this.

I’ve never felt more alive.

The engines are lit.

The rocket is shaking.

Mission Control has lost contact.

And unlike Gene Cernan…

I have absolutely no idea where this thing is going.

Thank you, and welcome aboard. 🚀
